Mycelium in the building industry<\/h3>\n

Our insulation panels are\u00a0not used in professional\u00a0building\u00a0environments yet\u00a0and we don\u2019t make tailor made products for the building industry.\u00a0<\/span>The reason why we don\u2019t supply the pro market yet, is that we don\u2019t have the required certificates. Topics that should be tested are the insulation value, and fire safety. But this is not yet a priority for us. Currently we’re focusing on the protective packaging\u00a0industry\u00a0only.<\/p>\n

Together with industry partners in Europe we improve the insulating properties and work towards accreditation of mycelium panels in the professional building industry. We continuously see improvements in product specs and manufacturing methods. Currently, insulating panels are only used when an exemption from the building regulations is obtained.<\/p>\n

2. Separation walls<\/h3>\n

Mycelium panels can already be used as separation walls. In some situations because of the look, or in other cases integrated in, or on a wooden frame to separate spaces or block out sounds.<\/p>\n
